- Hi. I ran a construction company for over two years off Bloch's
- Accountant, Inc, Pro.
- I higly recomend it, I used it to track employees of different labor
- skills and grades, (that's two different variables) on multiple job
- sites under multiple contracts, and it kept up just fine.
- In addition, when coupled with Claris Resolve, and Claris MacProject, I
- used it to track individual projects on a daily basis, the Accounting
- package, which I initially purchased "just to do payroll" ended up
- compileing a database (weighted, of course,) that gave me up to the
- minute average prices, based on my actual (as opposed to projected or
- planned) purchase orders for
- ALL THE MATERIAL I WOULD NEED FOR A GIVEN JOB!
- This information was absoloutly pricless when I was bidding.
- Accountant Inc. also, when plugged in to Resolve and Macproject, gave me
- average times for individual tasks, as well as average man hours per
- task, again, pricless information when bidding!
-
- The other things that Accountant Inc does, the mundane, like letter
- perfect billing, invoices, the pletoria a reports available, were just
- iceing on an already excellent cake.
-
- The fact that I KNEW where my money was, and what it was doing,
- literally hour by hour, was a dream come true after 2 months of $1200
- and up in accounting bills!
-
- To top it off, due to Bloch's excellent tech support, *I* ended up
- keeping the books! I'm a carpenter, not a CPA, but *I* was able to do
- taxes, payroll, end of year closing, etc.!
-
- I bought my computer, and Accountant Inc. "just to do payroll".
- My first bill from my accountant, after one month of operation, was
- $1253.50.
-
- My last bill was $80. (he came over to my office, looked over my books
- for an hour, shrugged, and said "it's fine! no problem. See you next
- month.")
-
- I figure Accountant, Inc. paid for my computer several times over, just
- in savings on accounting.
-
- And finally, there is a gentleman named Milo in customer support at
- Bloch. Milo deserves special mention, as an example of what customer
- support SHOULD be industry wide. Milo got my payroll, and my taxes out
- on time, and untied the various messes I made over the phone.
-
- Buy Accountant Inc. Then buy the year's customer support from Bloch.
-
- Then, when you've made your million, I expect a postcard.
