- You said you tried everything you could think of, but I did not see
- "Fractional Widths" in your list of things you tried. Make sure the
- "Fractional Widths" check box in the Page Setup dialog is checked
- and see if that makes a difference. The "Fractional Widths" setting
- is carried with each individual document so the setting would have
- to be checked for all old documents even if you set the default to
- be on for new documents. I find it handy to have the Fractional
- Widths command/setting added to a menu (using the Commands...
- dialog); that way a quick look at the menu will tell you whether
- Fractional Widths is turned on for the document or not (a check
- mark shows up next to the menu item when its on).

- Another possible thing to try is to simply remove the TrueType
- font, since you say you are printing to a LaserWriter II all you
- really need is some of the bitmapped fonts for Helvetica which is
- built into the PostScript printer.
