  12. You said you tried everything you could think of, but I did not see
  13. "Fractional Widths" in your list of things you tried. Make sure the
  14. "Fractional Widths" check box in the Page Setup dialog is checked
  15. and see if that makes a difference. The "Fractional Widths" setting
  16. is carried with each individual document so the setting would have
  17. to be checked for all old documents even if you set the default to
  18. be on for new documents. I find it handy to have the Fractional
  19. Widths command/setting added to a menu (using the Commands...
  20. dialog); that way a quick look at the menu will tell you whether
  21. Fractional Widths is turned on for the document or not (a check
  22. mark shows up next to the menu item when its on).

  24. Another possible thing to try is to simply remove the TrueType
  25. font, since you say you are printing to a LaserWriter II all you
  26. really need is some of the bitmapped fonts for Helvetica which is
  27. built into the PostScript printer.
