  17.     Unless you're doing major geneological research, I recommend
  18. getting Personal Ancestral Filer from the Church of the Latter Day
  19. Saints (Mormons).  As I'm at work, I don't have details but as I
  20. recall it was <$100.  When I was asking around, I was told this was
  21. the best for smaller databases (i.e. <3-4K entries).  If you get
  22. larger, then get Reunion as recommended in the other reply to your
  23. message.

  25.     I've currently got 1200+ entries in my database.  The only
  26. complaint I've had is that it doesn't allow for entry of unmarried
  27. couples having children.  My solution has been to make an entry in the
  28. notes about the "marriage."  No troubles with compatibility, it even
  29. runs under A/UX!

  31.     Oh, one other thing, if you do order from the Mormons don't
  32. use your credit card.  They charge it as a Cash Advance rather than a
  33. Purchase.  Most cards charge immediate interest for advances; mine
  34. told me there was nothing they could do about it.
