- Unless you're doing major geneological research, I recommend
- getting Personal Ancestral Filer from the Church of the Latter Day
- Saints (Mormons). As I'm at work, I don't have details but as I
- recall it was <$100. When I was asking around, I was told this was
- the best for smaller databases (i.e. <3-4K entries). If you get
- larger, then get Reunion as recommended in the other reply to your
- message.
-
- I've currently got 1200+ entries in my database. The only
- complaint I've had is that it doesn't allow for entry of unmarried
- couples having children. My solution has been to make an entry in the
- notes about the "marriage." No troubles with compatibility, it even
- runs under A/UX!
-
- Oh, one other thing, if you do order from the Mormons don't
- use your credit card. They charge it as a Cash Advance rather than a
- Purchase. Most cards charge immediate interest for advances; mine
- told me there was nothing they could do about it.
