  12. While hacking my only copy of Framemaker, I accidentally chopped something
  13. in one of its code resources, and now it bombs all the time. I just tried
  14. to restore from my disks, but they no longer work! I am suffering from a
  15. move: when my parents moved in the summer, I lost most of my computer 
  16. archival stuff, including registration forms that I hadn't sent in yet, etc.

  18. Anyway, I used Macsbug to trace the error, and it seems that my copy bombs
  19. somewhere in CODE 1, which makes sense since that is where I was trying to
  20. make my modifications.

  22. Anyway, would someone out there who has ResEdit handy be able to send me a
  23. copy of CODE 1 as a ResEdit resource? It's about 32K long, so it should be
  24. manageable to BinHex and mail. This is version 3.0, by the way.

  26. I know I am asking a lot here, somebody with a copy of Framemaker 3.0 and
  27. ResEdit who knows how to make a resource clip, but I am desparate. The
  28. company won't talk to me since all I have are copies of my master disks and
  29. a transfer of ownership from someone who never registered his copy.

  31. Even if you only have Framemaker 3.0 and ResEdit, or even just FM 3.0, and 
  32. want to be a good samaritan for someone who is getting his comeuppance for
  33. not backing up files and buying software from irreputable 3rd parties, please
  34. E-mail me. I am trying to use FM for my thesis this year and would hate to
  35. revert to Word.
