- it, you may not have gotten an accurate measure of screen performance. If
- you did the equivalent of "send local" that would not be accurate because you
- would be measure the text send speed plus a special "local echo" mode of the
- communications software. A real test would be to have an application (of some
- form on some platform) simply dumping raw data across a valid connection - at
- Software Ventures we used to use a Unix box and just 'cat' files since that was
- a common "real world" test.

- I think you will find that Smartcom has the best screen speeds (of the
- products you mentioned), followed by MicroPhone (4.0), VersaTerm, ZTerm and
- White Knight somewhere at the bottom.
