- PROBLEM: Want to make sure that nothing of your days work gets lost.
-
- SOLUTION: Buy Central Point MACTOOLS ver2 with its nifty scheduler that
- lets you do automatic backups at any desired times. Do a full backup
- and configure it to do incremental backups everytime you shut your
- computer down. Now you can be sure that everything you have done
- during any session gets backed up and you are safe.
-
- SURPRISE: Your hard disk crashes and a week has passed since you made
- your full backup. You have created lots of new documents and put your
- trust in the automatic incremental backups that are made everytime you
- switch your Mac off. No problem, restore the files. But WAIT A MINUTE!
- Where are all the NEW DOCUMENTS!
-
- THE MANUAL: CP Backup does only back up files that change, not any new
- files. You can't SAVE any selection criteria such as which folders to
- back up or which file name patterns to ignore.
-
- Oh. Of course. How stupid of me to expect anything else. I'm so sorry.
- BTW Where is the trashcan? No not that one. The REAL trashcan.
- Thank you.
