- After seeing so many of you rave about ZTerm, I decided to give it a try,
- having reached the conclusion that both QuickLink II and MacKermit "do not meet
- my needs" (read: suck cheese.) I'm very excited about ZTerm and the copy I
- ftp'd from sumex looks fine, and yet:
-
- ZTerm does not accept 8-bit characters for me.
-
- The only command I see that has to do with 8-bit characters (and yes, I
- _did_ read the manual) is the option under, I believe, terminal settings where
- you can choose NOT to accept "high-bit" characters (I assume this means
- 8-bit).Therefore I assume accepting 8-bit characters is a default. Therefore I
- can't understand why it doesn't do it.(That is one thing MacKermit will do, and
- it is vital to me.)
-
- Running 7.0.1 +tuneup, Classic II, Extension Manager, SuperClock,
- DiskDoubler, the usual suspects -- nothing exotic. Help?
