- Well... very recently I had my 3.5 floppy drive die on me and I think my
- machine is long past warrenty. So I was wondering if there are any
- venders who sell an internal floppy drive for laptops.
-
- The drives (yes, I've tried to repair this myself) look like standard pc
- internal drives but seem smaller and have a different adapter to connect
- to the motherboard. If you've ever opened one up, it's a metal strip
- connector. With standard cabling, I don't think I should need the
- internal drive from that manufacturer. But that any standard laptop
- drive with the ejection on the lower right o the drive should work.
-
- I've tried to talk to local electronic retailers but they seem to be
- clueless feebs who daren't even try to put a different manufacturer's
- drive on my machine.
-
- So.. any ideas where I can get a 3.5" internal laptop drive?
