  14. I just got a pas 16 card for christmas and installed it.  I try the
  15. PLAY command on the file CHORD.WAV and it works a couple
  16. of time and dies.  I try all combinations of dma and irq possible
  17. and it stays dead.

  19. I turn off the machine, come back later, retry and it works a couple
  20. of times and dies.

  22. This pattern repeats itself, as long as i turn the machine off for
  23. awhile, i can play it a several times before it fails.  For the record
  24. it sounds fine the first couple of times and then gets increasingly
  25. bassier and quieter.  The machine in question is gateway 486 eisa.
