- I've just installed the Media Vision 116 Multi-Media upgrade in my 386SX-25
- machine and am now having problems with Windows-based multi-media applications.
- These are especially apparent when running in 640x480x256 color mode, although
- I've had General Protection Faults in all modes (including the basic Windows VGA
- driver). The drivers are all the latest that I can find (ATI drivers are from
- this summer and Media Vision drivers are the latest version 1.44). I've simplified
- my autoexec.bat and config.sys as per Mucrosoft, but this does not completely
- solve the problem. I suspect that one of the Media Vision drivers is trying to
- access an absolute memory address that is also accessed by the ATI drivers.
-
- Has anyone run across this sort of problem? The actual error is:
-
- General Protection Fault in KRNL.386 at address 0001:73AA

- Thanks!
