- I have an OPTi-based motherboard in my 486-DX33 (mini board;
- no external cache; but I can't read the support chip IDs without
- dismantling the whole thing) and *absolutely* no problems with the GUS
- board
- compatibility at all - don't even need switches on SBOS for most of
- my games etc.
-
- It screws up my dark-ages SCSI controller if I run SETUP tho' - unless I
- run SBOS or PLAYMIDI or FLIDEMO first...? And, I haven;t sorted out
- the windows midi player yet. But, generally - A-OK.
-
- Does anyone know if the GUS should be able to achieve LAPC
- compatibility?
- The MPU401 features appear to be OK, so is there more to this than meets
- the eye?
-
- cheers
- Dick D.
