- OK, I've discovered that my tape backup unit won't let me connect it in
- parrallel with two floppy disk drives. I am now considering using an
- external mechanical switch to manually select between one of the
- floppy drives and the tape unit.
-
- I suppose I could leave the tape power connection on all the time and
- use a double throw, multi-pole switch on the control lines to select
- between the floppy and the tape unit. My question is what is the
- minimum number of lines (and which ones) would I need to switch. Not
- all 34 I hope! Has anyone tried this?
