- The 486DX may provide some advantage to non-number-crunchers
- if it uses the FPU as a fast multiplier for address
- calculation. Does anyone know about this? Someone rumored
- to me that in the 486DX, the FPU is used in such a way.
-
- Next question... any news on the 486SL? It's supposed to
- be a lo-power 486DX for laptops. When will it be released,
- and have any vendors announced laptop products with the
- new chip yet?
