  13. The 486DX may provide some advantage to non-number-crunchers
  14. if it uses the FPU as a fast multiplier for address
  15. calculation.  Does anyone know about this?  Someone rumored
  16. to me that in the 486DX, the FPU is used in such a way.

  18. Next question... any news on the 486SL?  It's supposed to
  19. be a lo-power 486DX for laptops.  When will it be released,
  20. and have any vendors announced laptop products with the
  21. new chip yet?
