  12. It can also be machanical vibration. The image on my nice expensive 
  13. Decstation 5000 monitor shakes when I hit the case. It appears to be the
  14. electron emitter inside the cathode ray tube vibrating. It wouldn't take
  15. much vibration on the emitter to cause that to happen. Try knocking the
  16. monitor lightly and see if the image vibrates. If so, try placing your
  17. monitor on a couple of mouse pads so soak up the vibration.
