- It can also be machanical vibration. The image on my nice expensive
- Decstation 5000 monitor shakes when I hit the case. It appears to be the
- electron emitter inside the cathode ray tube vibrating. It wouldn't take
- much vibration on the emitter to cause that to happen. Try knocking the
- monitor lightly and see if the image vibrates. If so, try placing your
- monitor on a couple of mouse pads so soak up the vibration.
