- I've had good results with the same tape drive. The OEM software from
- Colorado does not (for reasons unknown to me) identify or mark bad blocks
- on the tape. The only software that I have seen that effectively takes
- care of this for the user is Central Point's CPBackup that comes with PC
- Tools 7.+ and 8.0. I don't think you are doing anything wrong. But you
- should probably check to be certain that Colorado recommends using the
- type of tape you mentioned.

- I think you can get the information direct from CMS, but I'm not sure.
