- The magnetic field generated by that motor isn't *anywhere* near that powerful. If
- it was that strong, it would certainly affect your hardisk. It looks like your
- power supply isn't up to snuff or it's too small. When the motor turns on, it
- sucks a bunch of start up current that may be causing the screen jitter. Perhaps
- the steady-state on current is causing it, too.
