-
- Well, yes and no!
-
- I have found some systems will work with an ST-01/02 but fails to
- work properly with other cards.
-
- For example, some of my systems will hang with an Always IN-2000,
- boot but flaky on Windows with an AIC but works OK with the ST-01!
-
- One consistent problem I have with the St-01 is that if I use the
- SCSI drive as boot drive, the stupid BIOS on the ST-01 always
- claimed that the drive has not been formatted and then offers to
- format it for you. My friend who boots from his SCSI lives in
- mortal fear that someday somebody will answer YES and blow his
- 300MB HDD data!
-
- Apart from that, I have no experience using the ST-01 to drive
- a SCSI CD-ROM, so I cannot comment on that.
-
- But I agree that ST-01 software support from SeaGate stinks!
