  10. I recently acquired a Compudyne 9600 bps V.32 modem.  I seem to be having
  11. problems getting it to work properly.  I have properly set the IRQ and
  12. COMM port (com1, irq 4).
  13.  
  14. However, whenever I try to connect to another modem, at any speed, a 
  15. few characters or a few lines will print and then the modem will freeze
  16. up and not accept any other commands... unless the computer is reset
  17. and the comm program is re-entered.  
  18.  
  19. Factory settings on the modem are being used.  (at&f)... so I don't see
  20. any reason for the strange behaviour...

  22. any help would be appreciated....
