- U7 places quite a strain on your system. Using a disk cache will help
- a lot. You can't use a memory manager like QEMM or EMM386 with U7, so
- you have to be careful with your configuration. I used Norton's
- NCACHE. This cache can load itself high, so it doesn't use much low
- memory. I configured the cache to use 2 MB of extended memory, and I
- set up a 4KB block size. The cache seemed to help a lot, because much
- of the landscape would load from the cache, rather than the disk, as I
- moved about a local area.
