  16. Several more players are needed for the next season of the Usenet PlayMaker
  17. Football League. Assuming there's enough interest out there, the next season
  18. would start in the middle or end of January.

  20. The basic idea: We play a league schedule and playoffs, one game per week.
  21. Each week you revise your playbook's plays and AI and email the playbook file
  22. to the commissioner, who runs that week's games and publishes the results and
  23. weekly standings. Games are run as computer versus computer coaching, using
  24. the AI you build into your playbook. The winner of the PlayMaker Bowl at
  25. season's end wins the respect of his peers, and a custom T-shirt.
