Hi,

I've just laid my hands on a second hand STe for my children to play with.
When checking it out I discovered some very strange reports. I've run
a number of programs but the first to strike me was qindex16 which
reported the TOS version as 1.2!! I checked further and found tos_vers
thought it was 1.98 with Gem 0.23 and AES 1.64. Running memmap it reported
version 1.ae(diphthong) 1/1/90.

Now my original STe is 1.6 & that reports sensibly. Any ideas what I've
laid my hands on or is it just the routines I'm running are in someway
broken. Whatever it is, it seems to run all my progs OK.

As its the holiday, could you reply to my home mail address [e-mail].
I should be able to read this group from home, but there's just a chance
things could go wrong (forever a pessamist).
