- I may have been the one to mention the Atari ST linux port first so let
- me clarify EXACTLY what I said. To my knowledge, NO ONE is working on
- a linux port to the Falcon. I am interesting in working on the port
- however. Unfortunately, I do not know enough unix guts to do it myself.
- I am interested in forming and participating in a team effort to do it...
- I am of course probably biting off way more than I can chew but 500K
- of my research software runs under X and the thought of being able to
- run it at home is too intriguing to resist...
-
- I REPEAT NO ONE TO MY KNOWLEDGE IS WORKING ON AN ST LINUX PORT...
- Do you wish to work on it? Contact me by email. If there is enough
- interest, we can start a mailing list to decide whether this is
- feasible and if so, DO IT! I am incapable of doing the port myself...
-
- I believe that such a port would bring the ST back to life despite the
- Katzenjammer kids... It won't make anyone a millionaire but it'll help
- keep it alive... As usual, Atari has given us an interesting computer,
- but now they are going do absolutely nothing to support it so it will
- survive but hardly prosper. Who cares? The PC still has $h!++y graphics
- and sound and it seems like it always will... So unless we're willing
- to sell out we're going to have to do this ourselves...
