- An observation: Game Workbench sounds great. I would love to have it on my PC
- or my NeXT. A few years back I would have loved to have it on my ST. I would
- argue that the Atari is a great place to pick up programming experience in
- graphics and small operating systems; most of the great Atari programmers have
- been able to use their skills as a basis for lucrative jobs on other platforms.
- It's also a comparatively painless marketplace to learn nasty business lessons;
- sure you've wasted your time (haven't we all...) but you're wiser and I doubt
- you're several hundred thousand dollars in debt, which is the cost of failure
- in marketplaces with higher expectations.
-
- I'm sure your experience in graphics, engines, and object libraries will serve
- you well. Perhaps GW-PC? GW-Genesis? Perhaps another product entirely, but
- the important thing is to pick up the pieces and take advantage of your
- experience.
-
- I just remembered a great quote from Sam Kinnison (rest his soul):
- "Of course you're starving, you live in a $#@*&% desert! Move to
- where the food is!"

- Opinions expressed herein are not those of my employer. They're not even
- mine. They're probably wrong besides. How did they get in here, anyway?
