- Well said. Right now, I don't even own a working ST (don't
- throw things, please!), but I still like to keep up with the
- ST community because it is fun and I like the general Atari
- owner spirit. I subscribed to _Atari Classics_, the started-in-1992
- magazine supporting Atari *8-bit* computers for the same
- reason. (Yeah, it's outdated technology but I don't care.)

-
- People like Charles F. Johnson, David Small, and Dave Baggett
- are well-known developers--people, not just faceless corporations.
- They tend to listen, to care about their products; you feel that
- when you purchase something from them you are supporting a good
- cause and making a difference. (I know, making money ain't
- easy; working PC territory would be more profitable.)
-
- >I still think that clones are pretty damn boring.
-
- I think a subset of clone owners are similar to Atari owners,
- but they are buried beneath all the nonsense and consequently
- much less visible--and they don't have any kind of impact on
- the market.
