  14. I was delighted to see the MiNT distribution kit on the Atari archive.
  15. I download all the zoo'ed disks.  I read all of the installation documentation.

  17. However, when I try to use the SETUP.PRG program, it fails with 2 bombs.
  18. I have been careful to clean out my AUTO folder and turn off every single
  19. accesory.  I am aware that AUTO programs and accessories cannot be used
  20. with MiNT.  After I have done all of that work, I still cannot get the 
  21. program to work.

  23. Here is the advice I need:

  25.    I have TOS 1.00 and 2.5 Mbytes of memory (will be 4.0 Mbytes in a few
  26. hours).  I have an ICD cotroller for a 127Mbyte Quatum embedded SCSI drive 
  27. and a 65Mbyte Control-Data RLL (Adapter Controller) drive.  IS MiNT or the
  28. installation supposed to work with this setup?

  30.    What should I do to manually install the kit?  How do I get the atari
  31. to the point where I can use the MINIX file system for my partition F: and
  32. install the software with a UNIX style user name?

  34.    Any and all help will be appreciated.  I wrote the TeX installation manual
  35. two years ago (everyone seemed to like it but CS-TeX's ease of use killed
  36. the desire to manually install TeX), and I would not mind writing some 
  37. type of professional looking document to go along with manually installing
  38. this kit.  The best thing would be to have a working SETUP.PRG program for
  39. all versios of TOS and the ICD device driver.
