- the patch I use is called serfix11. it fixes the CTS/RTS handshaking bugs
- found in most tos's. if you don't use it, a couple of things can happen.
- as mentioned above, the data from the ST can out run the modem speed or the
- handshaking lines will get stuck in the "wrong" state. feel free to send
