- Good question, and one I hope someone can answer more fully than I
- can. However, there does appear to be several emulators in the works
- already. Whether anyone bothers to import them to North America is
- anybody's guess. The biggest bottleneck is, as you say, the 16 bit
- interface to memory. Does anyone know if the *86 chips can do the
- dynamic bus sizing that the 68k chip can. It would seem to me that, if
- they can, then the rest of the Falcon could just emulate the various pc
- i/o areas, and fairly quickly as well. If the graphic section of the
- Falcon could emulate a VGA card, then it should be fairly fast, but from
- what I've been reading on rec.games.programming, there are video modes
- in VGA that are programmed directly in some games. This might break an
- emulator, unless some how the 689030 mmu could still be utilised to
- direct the memory accesses to handlers to deal with this.
