- Well as it happens I have bought the Xtra Ram deluxe ram upgrade too.
- But I have had some problems with it. THe first problem was that the
- MMU adaptor wouldn't fit. Well finally it would fit, but at that time I
- had already damaged the MMU-socket. Well I went back to the shop where
- I had bought my Xtra Ram deluxe (Data Skip in Tilburg, the Netherlands)
- and they repaired the socket completely free of charge (actually they
- just put in a new socket). But the upgrade still wouldn;t work. The
- problem was in my ST that refused 0.5 meg in bank 1 and 2 meg in bank 2
- (or 0 and 1 if you like that better) with 2 banks of 2 meg or the other
- way around it would work, but it took a lot of time to find that out.
- So just so you know when installing. The problem really was that
- the disabling of one of the banks did not work very well. Sometimes the
- ST still seemed to see the old 512 Kbytes. I have no clue why this is
- but everything works GREAT now.
- SO I recommend Xtra Ram Deluxe too!
