- I can answer my own question now. I took both machines apart, and swapped
- out the "CPU" board, this one being the only board common to both (except
- for a memory 16K board). Turns out that swapping the CPU board removed
- the problem from the 800, and placed the problem in my 400. So obviously
- the problem is in the CPU board. Haven't taken the time to identify it
- beyond that, as I achieved my main goal of getting the 800 alive.
- Can anyone guess what chip or part on the CPU board might cause the
- above power up problem?
