  26. When vendors can hand out new keys via the phone, the protected program has
  27. to check whether the key and the serial number match following a certain
  28. algorithm. And this is the problem. Nowadays crackers remove
  29. type-in-word-xxx-of-page-yyy protections. If your scheme would be implemented,
  30. they would remove type-in-your-personal-key protections. There's no
  31. difference besides that C= can say "We tried it but it failed" :)
