  12. I thought the use of forbid() in effect 'turned off' multitasking.  Wouldn't
  13. it prevent a subtask from being executed, and therefore waiting for a signal
  14. from that task would be in vain?  Or am I misunderstanding the question
  15. entirely?  Please excuse my ignorance..
