- Attention A3000 owners! Your big chance to go for an sexy 4000......
-
- If you are interested in selling an A3000/25 with or without Unix, drop me a line.
- Please note that it must be reasonably priced w.r.t. CURRENT prices of new models,
- (so many 2nd hand machines are advertised at MORE than the price of a similar spec.
- machine brand new you wouldn't believe it! PeeCee users are the most culpable though)
- and if from outside the UK allow for shipping and quote price in sterling. (Currently
- US$ 1.00 = UKL 0.65). I'm not interested in any other software, but am interested in
- the following add-on items as I will be upgrading to more-or-less this spec (in order
- of importance):
-
- - 6MB (4 Fast, 2 Chip) or more
- - 100MB or more of HD (multi-drive solution welcome)
- - Tri-sync or cheap multi-sync monitor
- - Chinon dual-speed floppy (1.76MB on HD disks etc.)
- - Stable version of Kickstart *in ROM* (2.04 I guess)
- - AmigaDOS 2.1
- - Syquest, Bernouilli or magneto-optical removable HD (but not floptical)
-
- I will also consider machines with cheap '040 accelerators if the price is right.
-
- Please do not reply offering an accelerator, an A2000 machine, or a 16MHz A3000. I
- have a 33MHz '030 in my A500 and I am upgrading for the Zorro/BB slots, the case and
- drive bays, the flicker-fixer, etc., and I am not keen on taking a massive drop in
- CPU performance to do so, or on moving sideways to an A2000.
-
- I look forward to your offers.
-
- Many thanks,
- Dave
-
- P.S. Apologies for worldwide posting, but some UK users use nyx etc. with US logins
- and anyway some stuff might merit shipping from the US; besides, .edu users
- do it all the time! :-)
