  12. I just recently put a 8372A Agnus in my 500 and modified it to have 1
  13. meg of chip ram...  :) :) :) :)

  15. I tried to put a PAL switch on it tonight..  (Hardware, so it boots up
  16. in PAL..  I can't seem to get it to boot in PAL from software (Degrader)
  17. and if I use inPAL the bottom of the screen is STILL cut off....)

  19. Anyway, after much toil and poking and pushing, I thought I got it in,
  20. but to no avail..  So I cried a little :) and put 'er back together..

  22. Does anyone know of an EASY way to do this?

  24. Here's how I was doing it:

  26. I cut a hole in the side of my amiga (did the same for my 000/030 for
  27. my MMR) and have a little switch, wires, etc..  easy. :)  I took the
  28. Agnus out, bent pin 41 up and back, put a teeny piece of tape to cover
  29. the "inside" of the pin, and poked the wire in there, secured it a little
  30. by pushing the wire inside the hole where the pin was, and popped the
  31. Agnus back in.

  33. yet when I booted, I would get a black line (100 or so lines?) horizontal
  34. moving from the centre up to the top of the screen, disapeer, and I'd
  35. get the boot picture..  But it was in pal even when I had it on ground!
  36. No doubt about it, pin 41 was grounded, but still in PAL mode..

  39. Anyway...  I take it you can't get the entire PAL screen without it
  40. being in PAL mode *before* the screen is sized originally, same as
  41. you can't really go into overscan by loading a overscan preference
  42. when booted from a non-overscan preference file.  Am I making sense?
