- Well the current military have pretty much covered that with the FOFT systems
- haven't they. Simplicity itself to upgrade it to a laser based system rather
- than a radio one. :-) (Theoretically of course). Space junk would be slightly
- trickier, but then since we're talking hypothetically decades into the future I
- figure recognition of objects via computer wouldn't be too hard. Maybe an
- extreme extension of Apple's Newton "writing recognition" type technology.
- After all, if you're fighting a war you'd have a pretty good idea of what the
- enemy looked like, even if not their capabilities. :-) As for missiles, well
- the Patriot system can (almost :-) ) get that right. 'Twouldn't be so hard to
- upgrade that...
