- Great to see that I'm not the only football fan here. I'm doing
- the same but I'm playing as the 49ers and I'm in week 15. The
- Niners are 12-3 with losses to the Rams, Vikes and I don't
- remember who. Anyway, I have trouble with the run and shoot
- as well and almost keep the 3-4 on the field all game long.
- I've gotten some plays to fall back on and should probably writing
- them down and diagraming them. Here's an easy one:
-
- Pro set
- Short Pass
- Motion
- FL slant
- SE slant
- HB flat *
-
- Here is your basic clear out play to the HB going into the left flat.
- Usually a good conservative call which gains 4-5 yards, or really
- big if the defense is blitzing. I wish the defense were so flexible.
-
- I had a chance to play a friend over the modem this weekend which
- took about 2 hours to complete. Eagles vs 49ers and ended up with
- the Niners winning 23-20. Randall had a good day but the blitzing
- Eagles defense also gave up some big plays. The Niners were hot
- and cold on offense but held on with their defense in the fourth
- quarter with a blindside tackle of Randall in a late drive. The
- program seems to have a lot of animation possibilities as the
- sack was the first blindside one I've seen. Sure was exciting
- and fun to go into chat mode to gloat during the game. One
- odd thing was that you'd see your opponent's play call one
- play after the current one. Good thing is that you get the
- feel of your opponent's tendencies and try to guess his next
- call.
-
- All in all a great program that needs a few things to make it
- almost perfect. Can't wait to see their team editor and hopefully
- a play editor would be nice.
