- If you can get Janus 2.1 things will be much simpler.

- Makeab should create a file that is not called ABoot.ctrl. I mean it
- could be called that but it shouldn't be. Since that big file is nothing
- but a big Amiga file you can change the name with the rename command
- I would recommend calling it something like DRIVE_C or some such name.
-
- Now in your sys:pc/system drawer you should create a file called. Aboot.ctrl
- The only thing in this file should be a line that points to your makeab
- file. So if you had it on Work: the aboot.ctrl file would look like this:
-
- Work:Drive_C
-
- Make sure that the file just contains one line and that the line
- ends with a linefeed. Then when you reboot, you should be able to
- install DOS 5.0 the normal way. If you have an earlier version of
- DOS then you have to FDISK and FORMAT your "Drive" be advised that
- you can only have a virtual hard drive of a maximum size of 32 MB
- regardless of the version of DOS that you are using.

-
- Add them to your User-Startup especially PCDisk. Run it to nil:
- A line such as:
-
- run >nil: sys:pc/pcdisk
