- As I have just aquired a Golden Gate 386 PC BrideBoard, I am having a couple
- of problems/questions that I hope someone can help me with ...
-
- 1: When the emulator is active, I can no longer make use of the Amiga-side
- serial port (ie. run my BBS and use the emulator at the same time). I know
- that the emulator takes/makes use of the device for the ibm side, but there
- should be SOME way to disable this function so one could run a BBS and
- still be able to use the emulator without taking the BBS down. Any
- Suggestions to the?
-
- 2: I am running the emulator on an A3000 with 6 megs of ram. I want(ed)
- to be able to use some of the RAM on the brideboard side, but I have
- been unable to do so. I go into the setup, select public 20%, then
- save the config. When I reboot, I still do not have any extra memory,
- nor does the emulator "boot" information screen say it is using any
- Amiga external RAM.. What else do I have to set? I can find no help
- to this in the manual.
-
- 3: I hooked up a VGA card to on of the ISA slots and began the emulator
- again (with the monitor plugged into the vga card). The vga gfx from
- the card worked fine, but it (the vga card) caused a TREMEDIOUS slowdown
- on my floppies (being used from the amiga's drives). Since there is this
- slowdown of the floppy access/read/write, it tends to corrupt data that is
- sent to/from the devices causing very bad things to happen :-( ..
- Is this the vga card, or is there something else that I need/should know
- about....
-
- Any help is greatly appreciated .. Thankx .. A frustrated GG386 users :()
