  25. This is a problem I had as well, until I figured out that my modem setup
  26. enabled both v.32bis *and* v.42 on those high-speed connects. Be sure that
  27. you have v.42 disabled on these calls, and that the connection is pure
  28. v.32bis. My cps rate went from 575 to 1050 (as given by xstat) with v.42 
  29. disabled.
