- Very interesting! I just recently installed a CMI/DigiFeX MultiPORT
- and had a serial port crash that may well have been because of this!
-
- Do you have any further details about the cause of this? The parallel
- port consists of 10 output signals, 1 input signal, 9 grounds and 1 +5 volt.
- What can the un-powered printer do to these lines to cause problems?
-
- I'm hoping for a solution that doesn't involve a switch box. Not having
- to screw around with such things was part of the reason for the board,
- after all.
-
- Maybe you (or anyone else out there) can answer a couple of questions
- about the serial ports?
-
- First, does DTR work on the DB-9 port? I tried connecting my modem to
- it, and it didn't see it.
-
- Second, the HSK lines on the 8 pin mini-DIN: my understanding of the
- MAC serial port is that HSKo can be DTR or RTS, and HSKi can be DSR
- or CTS (or something like that, I don't know much about MACs). What
- do they do here?
