  11. I'm having problems connecting my v.32bis modem to 14.4 Dual HSTs.  The
  12. symptoms are as follows.  I always get a 'connect 14400' message and sometimes
  13. I get garbage immediately and then a 'no carrier' message or I just go
  14. straight to 'no carrier'.

  16. It seems that I can connect to the 16.8 Dual HSTs at 14400.  First I get the
  17. 'connect 14400' message then the protocol info like arq/lapm and I think
  18. v.42bis, and then into the board.

  20. I have my modem set with s37=0 (connect speed default) %E1 (retrain).

  22. Of course, the fact that the three boards that I can connect to are dual 16.8s
  23. and the several boards that fail are dual 14.4s could be a coincidence, but it
  24. is consistent the boards that I can connect to always work and I can never
  25. connect to the others.
