- Hi,
- I have a problem trying to get parnet to work between my A3000/25 with
- KS 37.175, WB 37.71 and my 1.3 A500 runnning WB 1.3.2 version 34.28.
- The network comes up ok but it doesn't work for very long, sometimes
- only a few seconds, but usually for a couple of minutes. I can access files
- for a while but then the machine that I'm using to access the others files,
- hangs and sometimes the other machine resets with a software error.
- When the machine hangs I can still move the mouse around, click on things
- (highlights but nothing else happens), and move windows around but they don't
- get redrawn. This is usually from the 500 using the 3000s harddisk but it does
- the same thing if I access the 500s df0: from the 3000 for a while.
- I think I have the latest version of parnet, parnet.device is v2.0. I
- also have netpatch installed.
- The cable is a bit different from the diagram only in that it was made
- with ack connected across to ack and sel bridged locally to ack instead of the
- other way around, but that wouldn't make any difference would it ??
- Also how long can the cable be ?? It's about 3 metres long.
-
- Any help in getting this to work (if its possible) would be greatly
- appreciated.
-
- Thanks,
-
- Michael
