- Hey Sherlock,
- I'm glad you've had such *wonderful* luck with *your* supra...before you
- start blasting others on the net for being clueless, perhaps *you* should
- pick a clue up somewhere...obviously there is no "Holmes" in your name.
-
- Clue 1: Supras are relatively inexpensive and would appeal to those without
- a lot of spare change..."Fast" machines tend to be relatively expensive
- and often beyond the means of many people that would purchase a Supra...
-
- Clue 2: Not everyone has a solid phone line. Trying to get one from the phone
- company can be difficult, if not expensive (mileage may vary depending
- on *your* phone company). Regardless of what *you* have, the quality of
- the *entire* line from your modem to the remote modem inclusive is very important.
- Two remotes I dial into are on high quality local exchanges. My phone line
- is good quality right from the local telco. My Telepath 14400(s) never could
- maintain a connection to these modems, my Digicom Scout+ never had a
- problem... seems the Telepath(s) were sensitive to the digital switchboards
- for the local exchanges...
-
- Clue 3: Just because *you* have good luck, doesn't mean *everyone* who doesn't have
- similar luck is incompetent...
