- Hiya everyone. :)
-
- I've given up on trying to figure out why it takes about 10 seconds for
- NewShell to process about 90 aliases (I have them in a file, but having
- them in Shell-startup doesn't change the delay), and unless someone can
- tell me how to fix this, I'd like a few suggestions on replacement shells.
- :)
-
- I've tried running the Alias file in the background, but apparently this
- doesn't work too well. (IE: No aliases are created.. :(
-
-
- Okay.. On to replacement shells. Out of the most popular ones, which
- seems to be the best? SKsh, Csh, other various shells...
-
- I don't do a lot of complex stuff in my shells, but I like power when
- I need it.
-
- One of these days I'll learn rexx.. :)
-
- BTW, I have WB 2.1..
-
-
- Also... I haven't seen any on FTP sites, maybe I've overlooked them..
- I am horrible at making a pointer I like.. Are there any collections
- of pointers that more talented people have created and put up for FTP
- somewhere?
-
-
- Thanks for your help.. :)
