  14. I've given up on trying to figure out why it takes about 10 seconds for
  15. NewShell to process about 90 aliases (I have them in a file, but having
  16. them in Shell-startup doesn't change the delay), and unless someone can
  17. tell me how to fix this, I'd like a few suggestions on replacement shells.

  20. I've tried running the Alias file in the background, but apparently this
  21. doesn't work too well.  (IE:  No aliases are created.. :(

  24. Okay..  On to replacement shells.  Out of the most popular ones, which
  25. seems to be the best?  SKsh, Csh, other various shells...

  27. I don't do a lot of complex stuff in my shells, but I like power when
  28. I need it.

  35. Also...  I haven't seen any on FTP sites, maybe I've overlooked them..
  36. I am horrible at making a pointer I like..  Are there any collections
  37. of pointers that more talented people have created and put up for FTP
  38. somewhere?
