  11. I finally got my copy of FinalCopy II and I like it :-)  However, there are
  12. some problems I have noticed - I would like to know if someone can reproduce
  13. them on his/her system or if I have goofed up somewhere.  So, here it goes..

  15. FinalCopy II bugs (release I, Nov 4 1992)

  17. - in long texts, when you go to later pages (20..40..60), the cursor is no
  18.   longer on the correct line on screen (when you click a line on screen,
  19.   the cursor goes too low).  In short documents (5 pages or less) this problem
  20.   is unnoticeable.
  21.  
  22. - characters are sometimes not updated correctly on screen
  23.  
  24. - very long internal processing when loading a long file, changing fonts,
  25.   quitting, etc. in a big document
  26.  
  27. - can't use virtual memory for storing text (either allocates very small
  28.   chunks of memory (inefficient) or asks for MEMF_PUBLIC)
  29.  
  30. - when using full justification (both left and right side of text are
  31.   justified), text looks right on screen (the space between words is
  32.   increased to justify the right hand size of text).  When printed on a PS
  33.   laser, however, the _character_ spacing is used to justify the text.
  34.   I would like the word spacing to be used in printouts as well.

  36. I would like to hear if these problems can be reproduced and/or if they
  37. have already been fixed.  I'm planning to FAX to SoftWood and report these
  38. problems if they are _real_ problems.  E-mail would be fine..
