  25. You see, though, that's the point.  There _IS_ a choice for personal
  26. computers--they very rarely have a NEED for VM.  There are 64-megabyte
  27. Zorro III cards available.  On mainframes, memory is eaten at a much
  28. higher rate, it becomes more necessary to have Virtual Memory
  29. capability.  After all, we're talking about a single-user OS here.

  31. My argument is that real-time-based personal computers haven't reached
  32. the point where the architecture REQUIRES that VM exist.  I don't
  33. think it will.  And as long as there are people developing real-time
  34. operating systems, there will be operating systems that don't offer
  35. real-time killers like VM.
