  27. The Amiga has several good WP packages, several mediocre spreadsheets, several
  28. good DTPs, one good database, several good structured drawing packages, several
  29. good paint and image manipulation packages.  These programs may not be compatable
  30. with their DOS counterparts, and in some cases are clearly inferior to their
  31. premiere DOS counterparts, which often cost up to $700 unless one qualifies for
  32. an upgrade or a discount because one has the right competitor's product.

  34. If WP were to come out with WP6 for AmigaDOS at $300-500 (whatever the DOS one
  35. normally sells for), almost nobody would rush out to buy it, even if it followed 
  36. the Amiga style interfaces to a T, because it's too expensive for the average
  37. Amiga owner, who has a $600 Amiga 500/600/1200.  The ones who would be interested
  38. would be people who already have the WP 4.1 (and presumable could upgrade for 
  39. less), or really need to take their WP documents home.
