- Windows isn't a worthwhile PC OS, and OS/2 doesn't have programs
- with a consistent user interface. The only consistent programs
- that I've got at work are the bits that are part of the OS itself.
- The utilities I've been able to find come in all sorts of flavors,
- the main thing the PM programs have in common is that they open
- on the PM screen.

-
- It's how you cut and paste without resorting to the clipboard.
- Clipboards are undesirable ways to transfer data. For example,
- suppose I want to snap a column of article numbers out of a
- MicroEMACS window, I hold down C= and drawn the rectangle around
- the column.
-
- Then to do something with the numbers, I can paste them as a
- column (with an optional quote character), or I can paste them as
- a line, with simple keystroke combinations.

-
- Perhaps because you don't switch between screens at all, or
- because you are referring to just text mode apps, or because you
- are used to funny window updates, or because you doze off when
- updates happen. The bottom line is that the A3000 will be "fast
- enough" in all cases, and will burn less CPU time being that fast.

-
- This only reflects on the limited things you must be doing with
- your machine. Even viewing GIFs on a PC uses a weak version of
- the screen concept. The concept is very useful to a lot of other
- people.
