  46. I had proposed on the net that the CDTV be stripped down to a cartridged
  47. base machine with the CD unit as an add-on. The user could expand it to
  48. a full fledged CDTV machine if they desired. Making it as nice looking as
  49. CDTV would put NES to shame considering how cheesy they look, and would
  50. encourage people to display it along side their stereo/tv systems instead
  51. of hiding it in the closet. With the "Commodore" name constantly visible
  52. on the front, you get the extra added effect of subliminal advertising,
  53. making Commodore a name to reckon with along with Sony or RCA in 
  54. home electronics.

  56. I brought this up to Jim Dionne at the WOC/Pasadena, and he smiled and
  57. said "Wait until CES (next month), I think you will like what you will
  58. see".

  63. along with the long awaited demo disk which was never released.
