- Question to one and all:
-
- Our application software runs under UNIX and is being developed using
- the Progress Application Development System.
-
- While using the applicaiton, our users can display context-sensitive
- on-line help files. These files are created using Word Perfect then
- converted to ASCII for display.
-
- The help files, in addition to context-sensitive display, include
- task-based documentation. The task-based documentation does not
- display on-line. These procedures are integrated into the help
- files to complete hard copy documentation.
-
- We'd like our display, and particularly the printed documentation,
- to include special characters such as bold, underline, proportional
- and scalable fonts, etc. Is there an easy way for an ASCII file to
- include special characters, or how can we avoid ASCII and simply
- display the Word Perfect files?
-
- We are presently unable to recieve news groups direct, but email has not
- been a problem. Please email me direct with your responce.
-
- thank you for your time.
