- I am looking for a solution to provide a backup NFS server that is located
- away from the primary server. This precludes the use of disk sharing across
- CPU's or disk-mirroring.
-
- I have implimented a solution that involves periodical copying of updated
- file systems from the primary to the backup system. The problem is trying
- to achieve up-to-the-moment concurrency between the primary and backup.
-
- I am considering modifying a version of NFSD or BIOD that would either forward
- all file updates to the replicate server or send the update to more than one
- server from the client.
-
- There seems to be very little on this subject available. Anyone have any
- ideas?
